With a background in ecology and forestry, Hortensia is managing the new protected area of Andrafiamena-Andavakoera. Her passion for conservation, her value for biological diversity and sustainable development are her main drivers. Therefore, she is well known for bringing positive energy in all her actions for the development of the sites. Her dynamism is visible through the quality of the biodiversity safegard in the area.

In addition, she is born and raised in Diana region. She believes that bringing change to the place is her way to give back to her beloved region. Also, Hortensia is a strong leader involved in promoting gender equality and youth implication in conservation.
