Fanamby and the French Agency for Development (Agence Française de Developpement or AFD) signed this Wednesday, August 7th a convention of funding from the Fonds Français pour Environnement Mondiale (FFEM) with a total amount of 800,000 Euros to support the promotion of sustainable development of supply chain in Analanjirofo.
The project aims to integrate integrated territory such as the special reserve of Pointe à Larrée in the district of Soanierana Ivongo, in Madagascar.
This will involve :
• The support of territorial planification between communes that will support the structuration and the development of the vanilla sector and other high-end products that will allow natural resources conservation within the territory and the improvement of the standard of living of the rural households, especially the ones that are vulnerable;
• The formalization of the vanilla sector that will contribute to the financial benefits for local communities and create a dynamic for the management of the resources within the Pointe à Larrée;
• The strengthening of the collective governance and the participatory management of the Pointe à Larrée, based on the territory dynamics and the impulsed development;
• The development of follow-up measures that will promote food security in the region and alternative source of income for the ones in needs.
