Soary RANDRIANJAFIZANAKA, biologist, has a PhD in Biodiversity and Environment, from the University of Toliara. The research topics on which she works are the guidelines for the reintroduction of testunidaes from different captivity in their natural environment. Since 2008, she has worked in the field of conservation and sustainable management of natural resources in different conservation organizations (World Wildlife For conservation nature, Service d'Appui à la Gestion de l'Environnement, Turtle Survival Alliance ...) in the thorny landscape of the ecoregions of the south-east, south and south-west of Madagascar. Since 2014, she represents Madagascar, as Executive Vice Chair, IUCN SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group, (TFTSG). Since 2016, she is appointed Regional Director of Environment of Ecology and Forests Atsimo Andrefana of Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Madagascar, consisting of the promotion of conservation, valorization and sustainable management of natural resources for the welfare of the population and sustainable development of the southwest region, a position she still holds today. In 2018, she benefited from the public management program, YALI CRL west Africa session 10, which strengthens her capacity in her work in the service of the people, in 2020 she was selected for the public management program of the Mandela Fellowship as an alternate. She is a trainer in the field of environment which she has been enjoying for 10 years. She has dedicated her energy to promoting and taking action, always with the same objective: to promote a healthy and sustainable environment, a quality environment for present and future generations. Of her contribution, we will only give a few examples such as the largest seizure of 10,000 turtles in 2018. Recognized for her perfect integrity and her great sense of ethics, she has always made communication and conservation a priority with a commitment to the environment and sustainable development.
